NZ Music Month is a promotion run by the NZ Music Commission that takes place each May, with other organisations including NZ On Air, RIANZ, APRA, Independent Music NZ, and the Radio Broadcasters Association also closely involved. And obviously NZ Music Month could not succeed without the support of the country's labels, media, the general public, and, most importantly, the artists themselves.
Firmly entrenched as part of our cultural landscape, over the course of the last decade the month of May has gone from a period of encouraging radio to play more local tunes to a thirty one day celebration of homegrown talent across the length and breadth of the country.
If you haven’t seen “Alice in Wonderland” yet… it’s a must see, fun and packed full of messages.
The ultimate message I took from it is… “It’s only impossible if you believe it is.”
